Today we worked with putting sounds on buttons and background sounds. Honestly I didnt like this tut at all because it doesnt always tend to work in your favor.
Today was pretty easy, I went over simple running and jumping with a platform. This is nothing new to me so I had it under control. I just wish there would be more tutorials on platform jumping with more complex characters than a simple circle for crying out loud.
Sound effects was fun putting into the game, I originally put sound in my original vermin killer game but that had messed up. It's a hassle keeping everything together so it all works in the end but its worth it.
Finding ways to keep the score was relativly nice. Either through collision test to pushing buttons. It's all a easy to do to do it, as long as you get the code right.
This assignment was not very fun working with. The tutorials were all terrible in many cases. But the worst case is that there were few tutorials at all. And giving text an effects isn't the easiest thing to do.
About a week and a half ago we went over moving on a path. This is fun and easy consider it seems we go over this nearly every week. In Gaming 1 we couldnt figure out how to get it going but now it seems like its a piece of cake.
We also went over going over navigating the timeline a long time ago. Which was early in Gaming 1. At first it was pretty hard, but as the months went by, getting through a timeline gets easier by day.
